In one paragraph

An introduction is all this is. UnderSlab is not a contractor, an insurer or a structural engineer, it is not party to any agreement you reach, and it offers no view whatever on what an insurance policy covers.

UnderSlab is a referral service, not a contractor. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands, and work that opens a structural slab is normally permitted — ask to see the permit. We carry out no work and no leak detection, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

An introduction, and no more

UnderSlab is an introduction service. We connect homeowners with independent contractors. We are not a party to any agreement you reach with one, we do not supervise their work, and we do not guarantee it.

What the pages describe

Everything here is general information about how hidden leaks are found and repaired. It is not an inspection of your property, it is not structural advice, and it is not advice about your insurance policy.

Where a page tells you to ask a structural engineer, your building department or your insurer, that is because the answer depends on your particular building or contract and nobody who has not seen it can give you one.

Telling us it is wrong

If something here is wrong, tell us at [email protected] and we will correct it. We would rather be corrected than consistent.

We connect you with a contractor who covers your area, and your ZIP code is what decides who that is. You are never charged. It does not have to be a slab leak either — every kind of plumbing request is routed.
